Protein synthesis is a major biological process that plays a key role in a wide range of diseases. We work with scientific and industry partners to expand the scope of addressable indications and enable drug discovery programs that leverage the power of our unique approach and platform. Our current pipeline programs are in the areas of Fibrosis, Viral Infections andAutism. While they seem widely disparate, they share a common theme – dysregulation of protein synthesis. In Fibrosis, overproduction of Collagen is at the root cause of the disease. In viral infections, viruses hijack the protein synthesis machinery of the cell, reprogramming it to manufacture viral proteins. In Autism Spectrum Disorders, dysregulation of protein synthesis in the synapses of the brain's neurons is considered one of the main cellular features of the disease. These programs stem from long standing collaborations with scientific experts that have delivered a solid proof of concept for the platform.
