Yoni Sheinberger PhD., Vice President of Discovery

Dr. Yoni Sheinberger has extensive experience in mRNA processing and kinetics, having spent over a decade driving technology development in drug discovery. Dr. Sheinberger joined Anima as a scientist in the oncology team and grew with the company, advancing from team leader to Head of Discovery, where he oversaw the establishment of Anima's novel Mechanism of Action (MOA) pipeline and its cutting-edge Automation unit. A dedicated professional, Yoni is committed to advancing biotechnological solutions that have a lasting impact on the field.

Dr. Sheinberger holds a PhD in Biotechnology from Bar-Ilan University, where he developed a live-cell imaging system that, for the first time, enabled the tracking of endogenous mRNAs from transcription, through nuclear export, to their final localization in an allele-specific manner within living human cells. His expertise in mRNA visualization and imaging was subsequently incorporated into the Anima screening and MOA pipelines.
