Rick Lufkin is a serial entrepreneur who has been involved in founding and growing a range of life sciences companies, including medical devices, chemotherapeutics, and biotechnology.  He has held founder, general management, and/or corporate board member roles with DUSA Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Linguagen Corp., Medical Market Specialties, Inc., Proanagen Corp., ClinDAR Corp., Synectiq Corp., New Life Health Products, M-Biosystems, Inc., etc. Earlier in his career, he served as a Naval Officer and held operating management positions with Corning Inc. in production planning, American Research and Development in venture capital, and in business development with Johnson & Johnson.

He has been involved in entrepreneurial support organizations for many years, notably as a founder and long-serving officer of the New Jersey Entrepreneurs Forum and the MIT Enterprise Forum.  He is presently serving on the Board of the New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors, the Technology Advisory Board of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, and on the Board and Treasurer of the Interstitial Cystitis Association.

Rick is an Electrical Engineering graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds an M.B.A. degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
